Migratory Regulations
Visitor should possess an effective passport or a trip document stating their name and the corresponding Visa or Tourist Card, excepting those countries that Cuba maintains free Visas Agreement with. Tourist Card can be requested at the Cuban Consular representations, Also, in the Travel Agencies and Airlines.

Customs Regulations
Tourists do not have to fill in the customs statement form. Cuba prohibits the import of narcotics and all types of pornographic material; Cuban coins, except those coming from countries which have concluded bilateral agreement in such field, firearms, except for those who come for game hunting and receive the corresponding Cuban import permit upon arrival.

When the traveler purchases durable goods or other items at any shop during his or her stay in Cuba , he or she must always ask for the corresponding invoice so it can be shown to customs officer upon request when leaving the country. Visitors are allowed to import duty free, their accompanying personal effects in reasonable amounts.

It is prohibited to export items considered to belong to the national wealth, such as precious metal, sea shell, antiques and certain types of animal and plants.

When leaving Cuba , you may carry with you up to 23 habanos without having to show the official purchase receipt. If you exceed that amount, you will be obliged to have the original official purchase receipt, and hand the copy in at the Customs Office at the departure point These cigars must be packaged in original cases with all official seals, including the new holographic seal. Any failure to abide by the basic requirement of a legal purchase, the product will be seized by Cuba 's Customs Office.

Sanitary Regulations
There are only restrictive sanitary regulations for visitor coming from countries where yellow fever and endemic cholera exist or has been declared infection areas by the World Health Organization. In such cases, an International Vaccination Certificate is demanded. Products of animal and vegetables origin have entry restrictions. Animal may be imported, previous presentation of the corresponding certificate.

Currency
Although the Cuban Peso is the National currency, tourist facilities and other service can be paid in CUC (Cuban Convertible Currency) and therefore it is advisable to pay with it.

The following credit cards are accepted, provided they are not issued by American Bank or their branches in others countries: INTERNATIONAL VISA, MASTERCARD, ACCESS, BANCOMER INTERNATIONAL, BANAMEX, DINNERS CLUB INTERNATIONAL, JCB, y CARNET, and others issued in Cuba ( BFI y RED).
